Global Village and Latvian presentation at Habitat Canada

There are 2 events which happened in my life during the last week.

These are the Canadian Global Village program(GV) http://habitat.ca/homec206.php Team Leaders training and the Latvian presentation at Habitat.

GV

There were families (parents and kids; grandparents and kids) who went to build houses abroad.
There were core workers who fundraised in the office and went to build houses abroad.
The most amazing about the GV was that people were so committed to make a difference.

The most interesting thing is that Canadian students must work as volunteers to be able to graduate from the university.

LATVIAN PRESENTATION

Canadians at Habitat really enjoyed the videos about Latvia, danced and sang with me.
We listened to the National Anthem, Put Vejini and Tudalin Tagadin.
I loved how the people wanted to visit Latvia and enjoyed Latvian singing and dancing.

In both events the Canadians joked, played games and were active participants.
It felt for me that Canadian were very enthusiastic people and loved to learn new things.
